South Korean online platform Naver is changing the way it partners with major news outlets. Starting in April 2020, instead of paying a fee for republishing articles, Naver will divert ad revenue generated by news articles directly to the news outlets. In its 2019 Media Connect Day event on Nov. 12, the platform announced its new plan for changing the way it partners with media for “more sustainable mutual growth.”
