The Tongyeong International Music Festival will hold a memorial concert for famous composer Yun I-sang after his remains were returned to Korea from Germany and re-buried in his hometown of Tongyeong, South Gyeongsang Province earlier this month. The performance, which will be given at the site of Yun’s grave behind the festival venue, was held on Mar. 30 and was open to the public. Yun’s grave is on a hill overlooking the sea, which reflected his desire to be buried, “in a place where I can see the ocean and listen to the waves.” The head stone will be covered by a black cloth until the performance.
