Hyundai Motor has bounced back from a two-year sales slump in the US market. Observers point to revised marketing strategies and the automaker’s new line of SUV models. The South Korean automaker sold 717,000 units to American consumers in 2019, an increase of 4.7% from the previous year. In a press conference Hyundai Motor’s US headquarters in Fountain Valley, California, Global Chief Operating Officer Jose Munoz announced the company’s goal of selling 1 million units in the US market by 2025.
